Laptop Hinge Repairs

Laptop Hinge repairs is one of those jobs that needs to be done asap after noticing there is an issue.

Here’s a before and after shot of a laptop that we recently repaired. It had a shattered left hinge and the customer was told by someone else that there was no way the laptop could be fixed, she should just replace it. Not so !! We simply took the time to piece all the bits together, glue them all back in place and then reinforce the mountings with multiple layers of resin, allowing each layer to dry, then applying another layer and so on. Then drop the hinge back in place and reinforce that in place with adhesive.

The process may have taken a few days but the end result was that the customer now has her laptop back at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire machine.

Most of the time this is an option but it’s all about getting the machine to us before all the “bits” disintegrate into pieces too small to work with.

The moral of the story… If your laptop has broken hinges, get it to us as soon as you can for repair. The sooner the better.
